Aside from Switzerland, do you know of any other fully multilingual nation that does not have a primary lingua franca for either commerce or governance?

While I think the provisions of the NM const. are awesome, I can certainly see a danger if we develop into pockets of isolated minorities who do not share a common means of communication.

Minor correction needed: Even today, the (Hispanic) population of New Mexico is slightly under half the total population making it the most heavily Hispanic state in the nation.
